Yellowstone NP 2017
We stopped by the side of the road and all ran out to try to capture this female big-horned sheep quietly resting on a hill top above the road. She was most considerate in facing us and seldom moving a muscle! The sky, we were told, was a Huckleberry Blue and provided us photographers with a marvelous background.
On our return to Gardiner, we saw these bison struggling in their walk along a creek, where they were foraging for food in the snow and ice. They were also trying to get out of the creek bed but simply couldn't do it because of the height of the banks and their enormous weight. Here three bison appeared as one while they piled up against each other.
